Community investment in San Juan education benefits not only our students, but the community itself. As a district-wide foundation with a focus on science, technology and the arts, the Foundation can leverage, target and maximize a large pool of resources, often from outside our San Juan community. This will create a greater impact compared to individual schools working alone. The Foundation will:

1. Obtain grants from other foundations and corporations who share our mission to improve the education of science, technology and the arts.

2. Seek members in our Founders Circle by reaching community leaders who share a passion for our mission and who will make a significant financial contribution by 10/31/07 to help launch our organization. Founders Circle members receive permanent recognition as Founders of the San Juan Education Foundation.

3. Ask for donations from parents, educators and the community who value the instruction of science, technology and the arts.

4. The Morgan Family Foundation has already generously given the foundation a $50,000 start-up grant. We will work to obtain additional matching funds.

100% of donations we receive will go directly to benefit student learning.
